Creating Monstrous Picture Books In Mrs. Allen's WIN classes, the students have been studying main idea, details, important ideas, and character development. They discussed the movie, Monsters, Inc., read a book of Monsters, Inc, and then simplified the important details into a short picture book. The whole class created a story board with rough illustrations and big concepts for each page. This was followed by each child/pair choosing a page to create. After creating a rough draft (or two) and editing, the final product page was published. These books represent the students' interpretation of the movie. This project involved comprehension, understanding of basic story elements, following directions, and teamwork.

| TIS Domino Effect Students in Mrs.Hobczuk's overflow WIN time group have been working with dominoes and how they work. Students have learned that they work in a chain reaction. Students have been challenged to create domino displays that use creativity and thought in order for their domino reaction to work.
Also, student have been working on some logic games that involve challenge cards. Students have to create the challenge according to how it is pictured on the challenge card, however, they have to add the missing pieces in order for the maze to work. In Gravity Maze, students are working on the logic of gravity in order to get a marble to move through a path without getting stuck. In Circuit Maze, students are working on the logic of how circuits work in order to get the red, yellow, and green
pieces to light up by correctly placing pieces on the board. In Codemaster, students are working on logic based to get from one point to another using only the colored tokens listed on the current level. The challenge cards range from Beginner all the way to Expert.
