What Comes After This weekend we celebrated our 3rd Holy Week as Oak Life! On Friday we reflected on the death of Christ at our first Good Friday service over at Chapter 510. Then on Sunday we packed out the Parkway as we celebrated what comes after, proclaiming together that Resurrection gets the last word and that love wins. As our community continues to grow deeper roots and wider branches, it's so amazing to see the ways God is forming and shaping us. A special thanks go to everyone who helped make this weekend such a memorable time. This upcoming Sunday we're starting a new conversation called Roots & Branches, where we'll be exploring the kind of communal life we sense God inviting us into. Things Going on In and Through Oak Life:ROOTS-
Newcomers Dessert: Thursday April 27th, 7-8:30pm. If you're newish to Oak Life and would like to learn more about our story and how to connect, we'd like to invite you to a special dessert at Chris and Alie Scott's home. RSVP required, so please email back to let us know you're coming!
LGBTQ+ Meet Up: This Sunday from 2-4 Sandra and Ed are hosting a community hang out for folks who identify with the LGBTQ+ community. If you'd like more info email Sandra: sandramukasa@gmail.com
Volunteer at Oak Life: As a growing community, we need lots of hands to keep things awesome. Some areas that could use volunteers are: set up, coffee/hospitality, music/sound, prayer, etc. Volunteer any way you can, whether it's once a month or whatever! This is a great way to connect with other

Medical Support Trip Update: Recently Oak Life sent a team of medical professionals on a trip to a refugee clinic on the border of Myanmar and Thailand. If you'd like to read some reflections from one of the folks on the trip,
Kaitlyn Gentilin shared some words on the Oak Life Blog here. Third Sunday Donations: Every third Sunday we donate our entire offering to a local non-profit or cause. This month we donated $857 to Regina's Door, a local organization that works to end child trafficking here in Oakalnd. If you'd like to suggest a 3rd Sunday giving option you can email leadershipteam.oaklife@gmail.comHomeless Community Support: Oak Life is connected to a local camp community and we're always looking for donations to bring our friends. Current needs include: bottle waters, packs of socks, cold meds, and gift cards. If you'd like to donate, just bring something in on a Sunday and we'll deliver it that week.Other Stuff? Got ideas for other ways we can serve our community? Want to start a new group? Interested in organizing a hike our outing? Oak Life is a community led church- so let's make it happen.
