Expository Preachers in Training!

It's the end of the 1st semester and my Homiletics 1 students are preaching their 10 minute message from Ephesians.  We've heard from these 14 young Filipino preachers and the rest are coming up this week, which is finals week. I've been impressed by their efforts, which for most is the first time to preach.  I've told them no matter what you can or can't do today, you will improve and become the men who will preach the gospel to the next generation.

Pray for these young men who are preparing to serve God's church and fulfill His calling in their lives. Thanks for praying.  Pray for me as I pour all I can into the lives of these men before they graduate to internships and then a pastorate.

At Left (L to R):  Melvin de los Reyes, John Villanueva & Jeuel Pampolina.
Bottom Left: Nelson Galuno, Kemuel Rapsing, Reymark Lumacad, Ace-son Bajas, Justin Salalima and G. C. Verra.
Bottom Right: Christian Libarra, David Chua, Jaazer Aquino, Peter Diban & Florian Evasco.

BBSI Happy Teacher's Day

Happy Teacher's Day at BBSI! Last Friday students showed appreciation for their teachers. I had lots of encouraging words sent my way for my wife and I as they recognize the sacrifice we have had to embrace to teach here in the Philippines.  Many of the students who led the event are students I have in class.

At the end of Happy Teacher’s Day the student body prayed over us. I was able to snap a picture from the hip. I opened one eye! ? There's a shot with faculty and students. At right... I am with one of my graduating seniors Trix Caramat! A dedicated BBSI student-leader.

Thank you BBSI student body. I love working with you. Even as I serve, though weak in many respects, I am grateful for His grace and pray the Lord will use me to strengthen you to serve with excellence.  Thank you for your prayers & awareness of the big sacrifice it is for my wife and I and our family.  As long as the Lord allows us we will serve. Thanks for praying for this wonderful school and it’s faculty & students!

Partners in a Generational Legacy

A premier verse related to passing on the baton of ministry to the next generation is 2 Timothy 2:2, "The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

When you join us in prayer ministry and regular financial partnership, you are investing in a movement of equipping a new generation for Christ and thereby partnering in a legacy for future ministry in the Philippines and beyond.

The seminarians Robert equips at BBSI are training for their calling to serve with excellence. The missionary kids Kim works with at Faith Academy need an education and to be challenged with the truth of the gospel, even while their parents serve in ministries all over the Philippines.

To invest in this work, simply click the button to go to ABWE's secure online donation page.  There you can arrange automatic monthly support.  All support donations are tax-deductible.

Well, in regards to the gospel being taken to Asia that could very well be true as many young Filipino men and women are preparing for ministry even as missionaries in other Asian countries.  They need our prayers!  We need to help prepare them.
