Meet Patty!  Patty is a member of our HELP U Shred team where she works to ensure confidential documents are safely shredded and recycled.  

Patty recently took some time to share with us her top three reasons why she loves her job at HELP U Shred. 
1) She loves making her own money
2) She gets to work along side her friends 
3) She’s keeping the planet green by helping to recycle.

HELP U Shred is HELP's largest and most successful vocational program. Almost 100 consumers are employed by HELP U Shred at the Euclid and Northfield locations. This vocational program provides paid job training that teaches consumers usable skills and appropriate workplace behaviors. Employees of HELP U Shred earn the full State of Ohio minimum wage for the hard work they dedicate to servicing our contracts.

On Saturday, March 24th HELP will transform Crowne Plaza into our very own casino featuring everyone's favorite Vegas-style games like Black Jack, Roulette, Texas Hold'em, and Craps.

During the summer months away from school, a lack of stimulation and structure for children with disabilities can result in regression, loss of progress in development, and place overwhelming demands on families.  Our program provides critically needed services and educational support for children as young as two and a half years old with a focus on those under ten years.

The 2018 program session will have convenient east side and west side locations available and will serve over 200 children with a six week program designed to prevent the loss of personal academic progress during the time away from school.  

The 2018 session will run June 12 - July 20th (Tuesday - Friday each week).  Registration packets are due by Friday, May 11th.  An annual physical and IEP are required before the first day.
