ALBERTA EDUCATION ACCOUNTABILITY PILLAR SURVEY:
It‘s that time of year where Alberta Education is seeking your input about the education we are delivering at CWAA! From January to the end of February, Alberta Education will be conducting its annual “Accountability Pillar Survey”. The Accountability Pillar Survey assesses various aspects of quality; student outcomes, provincial assessments of student learning, community engagement and satisfaction, school experience, etc. Within the next few weeks, all CWAA parents will receive a survey from Alberta Education in the mail. In February, CWAA students and all teachers will be completing their surveys online at school. All surveys are anonymous. In addition to English and French, the parent survey is available in Chinese, Punjabi, Arabic, Blackfoot, Cree, Korean, Spanish and
Tagalog. Your participation in the survey helps provide important information on the quality of education your child is receiving at CWAA, so we encourage you to return your survey promptly. Thank you for your participation in this important process!

CALLED TO WAIT “Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He will strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” Ps. 27:14 Wait, we all have heard that word, whether it‘s waiting for supper, waiting in line, waiting for traffic, waiting for your friends, for a project, or waiting on that item that was supposed to be ready for your house months ago. Waiting is part of all of our lives, but let‘s be honest, it‘s not always fun to have to wait, in fact sometimes it can be very stressful, even painful. Now catch this, the God who lovingly created us, is also calling us to WAIT. But wait, wait, before you push this article aside, when God is talking about waiting on Him, He is referring to something so much more. You see God knows that waiting can sometimes
lead to despair, brokenness and separation which leads to anger and loss. So when God calls us to Wait, what He is really saying is – stop you guys. Stop and wait on me, no - a 20 second prayer in the morning is not enough. Jesus is lovingly calling you to press pause on the everything in life, the endless to do‘s and to wait on Him by spending time with Him, and as we do, He promises to give us strength, peace and joy despite the uncertainty of tomorrow. In Matthew 6:33, 34 Jesus reminds us as His people with these words, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its' own trouble.” I don‘t know about you, but this trusting God and His timing has been something
hard at times for me, yet this is the message, we cannot properly navigate this world without first surrendering and giving time to our walk with God. Ellen White said this one time: “Remember that prayer is the source of your strength. A worker cannot gain success while he hurries through his prayers and rushes away to look after something that he fears may be neglected or forgotten. He gives only a few hurried thoughts to God; he does not take time to think, to pray, to wait upon the Lord for a renewal of physical and spiritual strength. He soon becomes weary. He does not feel the uplifting, inspiring influence of God‘s Spirit. He is not quickened by fresh life. His jaded frame and tired brain are not soothed by personal contact with Christ. 7T 243 Join me right now and re-read, or if you know it sing this passage and ask Jesus to
teach you to wait on Him FIRST. “Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He will strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” Ps. 27:14 God bless you all. Paul Antunes
