As you have heard over and over again, TRIO Upward Bound is a program that requires commitment during your entire high school career. However, we know that this commitment cannot just be you, it is important that your parent(s) need to commit as well. No, your parent(s) do not need to have an extensive commitment like you but we would like to know that they are okay with bringing you to campus for the Saturday Academic Meetings and that they will attend our parent workshops.
Some of the questions that will be answered during the presentation: - What is TRIO Upward Bound? - How are students selected for the program? - What will be my, as a parent, commitment to TRIO UB? - How will this program help my child? - Who pays for all of this? - Who supervises
the students during the summer program?
Parents will need to park in Lot 7 (shown below. red square). If you type "UNT Lot 7" in your GPS it will take you right to it. The meeting will take place in the General Academic Building (where you have met each UB Saturday) in room 104. The presentation will start at 1:15 PM and end around 2:00 PM.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us at untupwardbound@unt.edu.
