Virtual Tour of Two Recently Excavated Homes in Pompeii

For the last two years, ongoing excavations in Pompeii’s Regio V have unearthed extraordinary examples of daily life in the ancient Roman city. In one middle-class home, archaeologists discovered traces of a millennia-old garden; on the floor of another residence, they discovered a remarkably intact mosaic of the hunter Orion turning into a constellation—likely a reference to an obscure myth, as Franz Lidz reported for Smithsonian magazine  last September. MoMA Is Offering Free Online Art Classes

Realizing that people may want to do more than just look at art, MoMA has launched a series of five free classes for those interested in better understanding the 91-year-old museum’s collection, according to i-D. Covering contemporary art, fashion and photography, the courses aren’t just a glorified video clips, either. Instead, they’re comprehensive beginner courses with corresponding readings and exercises that will take anywhere from 12 to 38 hours to complete. Read More >>>

Become Better at Taking the ACT (Higher Score = More College Options)

The TruScore practice tests will be available until May 31, 2020, and student scores will be available until May 31, 2021.  You will be able to take up to 2 separate full-length tests during this time.  There are 4 subject area tests that makeup one full-length ACT:  English, Math, Reading, and Science.  You can take all 4 in one sitting to experience what it will be like when you take the ACT for real or you can take each subject area test at separate times.  You can even take a break in the middle of a subject area test but we would not recommend doing that because the biggest challenge in taking the ACT is pacing yourself--having enough time to answer all of the questions in each section.

After you take the test(s), you will be able to see your score report.  It will break down each subject area test, showing you what concepts you need to work more on.   You'll see all the questions, what your answer was and what the correct answer is.  They have videos that explain the answer to each question.  You will get a list of recommendations on what to focus on to improve your scores.

THIS IS A ONE TIME FREE SERVICE! IT TYPICALLY COST TO USE IT SO PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT BEFORE MAY 31!!

Trello - Online To-Do Board

In one glance, Trello tells you what's being worked on, when you need to work on what, and where something is in a process.

Imagine a whiteboard, filled with lists of sticky notes, with each note as a task for you and your team. Now imagine that each of those sticky notes has photos, attachments from other data sources like BitBucket or Salesforce, documents, and a place to comment and collaborate with your teammates. Now imagine that you can take that whiteboard anywhere you go on your smartphone and can access it from any computer through the web. That's Trello!
