Teachers deliver assignments to students by school bus

On April 6, the students of Big Lake Elementary in SD27: Cariboo-Chilcotin were greeted by a familiar sight: their school bus! Principal Holly Zurak and school staff decorated the bus and drove through the community to deliver assignments to each of the school's 30 students. The staff maintained safe social distance on the bus, and Principal Zurak used hand sanitizer before and after each delivery.

With most in-class instruction suspended until further notice, the halls of Big Lake Elementary have been far too quiet. The school bus drive-by was a great way for staff and students to stay connected amidst the social distancing requirements.

Check out the video on the Big Lake Elementary Facebook page.
