Thank you Simon and Sarah!

The BC Games Society is sad to say goodbye to two wonderful board members who have contributed so much to the direction and scope of the Games. Since joining the BC Games Society Board of Directors in January of 2014, Simon Whitfield and Sarah Zimmerman have served six exceptional years and given their time, skills and insight to improving the BC Games. They will be leaving us at the end of June and we are so thankful for their dedicated service.

Team BC Announces Mental Performance Consultants for 2021 Canada Summer Games

The BC Games Society is pleased to announce that Carl Nienhuis, Dani Wilson, and Geoff Hackett have been selected as Team BC‘s Mental Performance Consultants (MPC) for the 2021 Canada Summer Games in Niagara, Ontario. As part of Team BC‘s Mission Staff, they will support British Columbia‘s athletes and coaches as they prepare for and compete at these important national multi-sport Games.

Upcoming Team BC Mission Staff Application Deadline

The BC Games Society is looking for energetic and experienced volunteers to become members of Team BC’s 2021 Canada Summer Games mission staff!

As part of Team BC, Mission Staff help BC athletes and coaches have the experience of a lifetime and will work to ensure that all aspects of Team BC’s preparation, including athlete and coach services and support (uniforms, media relations, newsletter, registration, logistics, etc.) are in place for successful team performances. Mission Staff strive to take care of all of the distractions so that athletes and coaches can focus on preparation and competition.

The submission deadline is June 26, 2020 at 4:00 PM PST.

2020 BC Winter Games Legacy Fund Now Open

The 2020 BC Winter Games Legacy Fund is now open! The Committee will be accepting applications from any sport or art association, community member or group, who can use the funds to help better the Fort St. John community, with the main focus on Sport and Arts. The deadline to apply for funding is June 30, 2020. Find the application form and more using the link below.

Congratulations Rochelle Winterton

The BC Games Society would like to extend our congratulations to former BC Games Society Board of Directors member Rochelle Winterton on her retirement as Executive Director of the British Columbia Lacrosse Association (BCLA).
