Recognize Your Students with District/Authority Scholarships

Up to 5,500 new BC graduates will soon receive a $1,250 District/Authority Scholarship towards tuition at a designated post secondary or BC-authorized trades training provider. District/Authority Scholarship committees design their own processes for choosing conditional recipients. Please contact your local scholarship coordinator to learn how your students could be considered for this award.

Students must satisfy the basic eligibility requirements and shine in one of seven diverse areas: Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies; Community Service (Volunteer Activity); Fine Arts; Indigenous Languages and Culture; Languages; Physical Activity (and Health); and, Technical and Trades Training. The District/Authority Scholarship is also open to students receiving the Adult Dogwood.

Ministry allocations to school districts and independent schools have been published. By using their full allocations, districts and authorities help provide more equitable opportunities for students around British Columbia. Don’t miss this chance to discuss this scholarship with your students and local scholarship coordinator. Best wishes to all your graduates for a successful transition to post-secondary study and careers!
