2915 Participants ready for the 2022 BC Summer Games The 2303 athletes hail from 170 communities across the province and represent every constituency in BC. Competing in 18 different sports, the athletes are an average age of 14 years old and for most, this will be their first experience at a multi-sport Games.
These athletes will be supported by 451 certified coaches and 161 officials, tasked with providing a safe and competitive environment for
athletes.
“We can‘t wait to welcome these athletes, coaches, and officials to our city and make this a memorable event,” said Renee McCloskey, President of the Prince George 2022 BC Summer Games.

Apply now for the BC Games Leadership Bursary The BC Games Society is proud to continue supporting the development of young athletes through the BC Games Leadership Bursary, presented by Canadian Tire.
First launched in 2014, this program provides BC Games participants with bursary grants of $500 to support their future sport or education goals.

The tagline, Spirit Lives Here – Njan Tsen Ghuna celebrates the surrounding forests and unceded traditional territory of the Lheidli T‘enneh and the heart of athletes, hosts, coaches, and volunteers.
This limited collection is AVAILABLE NOW online* and will be available for purchase at select venues throughout the 2022 BC Summer Games.

Team BC Mission Staff announced for PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games Preparations for the PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games are underway and Team BC has announced the Mission Staff who will support British Columbia‘s athletes, coaches, and managers at the national multi-sport Games February 18 – March 5, 2023.
Comprised of volunteer sport administrators, educators, sport performance experts, and communications specialists, the Mission Staff will provide a wide range of services to Team BC athletes, coaches, and managers leading up to and during the Canada Winter Games. The team will
strive to support Team BC in achieving optimal performances while ensuring each team member enjoys a safe and positive Games experience.

Games Prep Program Webinar Series: Guide to the Canada Games Team BC athletes and coaches heading to Niagara for the 2022 Canada Summer Games had a chance to hear from Carl Nienhuis, Geoff Hackett, and Shelbi Snodgrass -- Team BC Mental Performance Consultants.
Carl, Geoff, and Shelbi shared valuable insight on the importance of mental preparation, as well as tips and strategies to perform at their best while at the Games.

Team BC Coaches Meeting Team BC coaches and provincial sport representatives came together in Burnaby on June 18 in preparation for the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games taking place August 6-21, 2022.
Attendees had a chance to learn about the operational, medical, and communications plans for the Games, network with other Team BC sports, and hear from an experienced Coaches Panel made up of Debbie Pyne (Golf), Luca Della Pace (Soccer), and Cav Whitley (Baseball).
