HEADLINE SHORT //
"MR TORQUAY'S HOLIDAY"

Centrepiece of the night, our headline short this month is "Mr Torquay's Holiday".  Written & directed by Aaron Trinder, the film tells the story of an anxious, agoraphobic man who has retreated to the safety of his basement flat.  Here, his world is how he wants it to be.  His status quo is disturbed when that world threatens to be ended by a premature apocalypse...

SUPPORT SHORT // "LAWN OF THE DEAD"

Screening before our headline short, we'll be welcoming director Richard Higson and his film "Lawn of the Dead" as our support short.  In the midst of a zombie uprising, two put-upon employees attempt to survive a game of golf with their brutish boss, and not get eaten.

free entry

Our filmmakers guests kindly give their time for free and the Genesis host our screenings without charge, so S4 is free for you.  So in lieu of a ticket price, every month we hold a charity collection for the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, who do great work supporting new talent and industry veterans alike.  Find out more details about them at http://www.ctbf.co.uk and please do give as generously as you can...!

details

As always, entry to S4 is FREE, so collect your tickets from the cinema's box office and install yourself upstairs in Bar Paragon for the screening to start promptly at 7.30pm with the Q&As kicking off straight after for a 9pm finish.  Happily the bar stays open until 11pm for extra filmic chinwagging... The Genesis Cinema's Bar Paragon offers a great range of drinks and cocktails, and you can line your stomach with their Pie Minister meal deal, getting a pie, mash, peas, gravy and a drink for £10.

directions

The cinema is located slap-bang between Whitechapel station (District, Hammersmith & City and Overground lines) and Stepney Green (District and H&C lines), on the 25 and the 205 bus routes or has a cycle hire docking station station right outside.
