I Have a Dream Scholarship
It's crazy to think of all the amazing stories that happen as soon as we close our eyes and drift to sleep. It could be in a deep slumber or perhaps in a carefree daze, but our dreams can help shape our ideas, perceptions, and - now - education.
If we had that crazy contraption from "Inception," we could just live the dream with you. But, since we can't, we need you to tell us in our scholarship for dreamers. Did you have a dream that was off-the-wall, or maybe it was so real that you didn't know you were dreaming? Maybe you dream of a successful future or reaching your goals. Whatever your dreams might be, they could help you towards getting a scholarship for your college education.
Scholarships don't have to exist in your rich reveries. Let your
dreams be your muse - and your ticket to free money for school. One "dreamer" in our I Have a Dream Scholarship Scholarship will receive $1,500 to help make his or her educational dream come true.
The I Have a Dream Scholarship winner will be notified by email or phone on or around April 30, 2021.

Ethnomusicologist Ethnomusicology is the study of music in its social and cultural contexts. Ethnomusicologists examine music as a social process in order to understand not only what music is but what it means to its practitioners and audiences.
Ethnomusicologists work in a variety of spheres. As researchers, they study music from any part of the world and investigate its connections to diverse elements of social life and culture. As educators, they teach courses in musics of the world, popular music, the cultural study of music, and a range of more specialized classes (e.g., sacred music traditions, music and politics, theory and methods).
Ethnomusicologists are also active in public and applied work. Partnering with the music communities
that they study, ethnomusicologists may document and promote music traditions or participate in projects that involve cultural policy, education, conflict resolution, health, environmental sustainability, arts programming, or advocacy on behalf of musicians. Ethnomusicologists often work with museums, archives, arts-presenting organizations, primary and secondary schools, media companies, and other institutions that promote the appreciation and understanding of the world’s musics.

Education Needed Ethnomusicologists generally hold at least a bachelor's and master's degree because of the amount of specialized knowledge this field requires. A bachelor's degree generally requires 3-4 years of schooling, and you will probably focus on fields such as cultural anthropology, musicology, folklore or cultural sociology. You may choose to specialize in the music of a specific area of the world or a particular culture during your undergraduate education.
During your master's program, you will probably take more general courses in music research techniques, along with specific courses in your area of interest. Some potential areas of interest that ethnomusicologists often study are Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East,
Central Asia and Indonesia. | Wages On average, Ethnomusicologists earn approximately $72,600 annually. The salary range for Ethnomusicologists runs from $32,000 to $122,000.

GRIT Help Grit is “passion and perseverance for long-term and meaningful goals.” It is important because it‘s a key driver of achievement and success—and it is far more important than talent and IQ!
Studies have shown that deep down, most of us believe talent is the main reason for success. Does that mean that there isn‘t a need for us “normal people” to aspire to be great? Not if you asked Nietzsche: “For if we think of genius as something magical, we are not obliged to compare ourselves and find ourselves lacking…” In fact, when it comes to how we fare in the marathon of life, it‘s effort that trumps everything else.
