Attendance If you have to miss a Saturday for any reason, you are required to make up the work from each class on Canvas. You will need to complete each classes' work by the following Wednesday at 11:59 PM. If you do not have access to the Internet please inform a staff member immediately. If you are absent for more than 5 Saturdays we will talk about exiting you from the program.

Communication If you are going to be absent, text, call in, or email staff members. Do not wait until Saturday afternoon to communicate your absence. Also, be respectful of UB staff; do not text or call after 10 pm or before 7 am.
You MUST communicate with us that you will not be here!

| Holiday Celebration
This Saturday Academic Meeting will have an optional extended time in order to have our Holiday Celebration. Students have the option to leave at 1:05 PM or stay until 2:00 PM.
The Holiday Celebration with have a mix of activities students can participate in including a gift exchange and gingerbread decorating competition.

The photo above shows what the system looks like if you use it. As you enter information the AI system will give you detailed paragraphs and bullet points tailored to what you entered. The section in the photo that says "Professional Summary" came from the AI.
Although it is free to create a resume and use the system, it is not free to download the resume from the website. If you'd like to create and download will have to sign up for a subscription plan (the basic one starts at $25/month). However, this is a great website to use to put the resume together than going to Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or Canva to
recreate it using the information from the AI.

Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest
The Gallery Collection is looking for new greeting card designs. Students just need to submit original artwork or graphic design that they think would be great for a greeting card. Designs will be voted on to determine the winner.
Award Amount: $10,000 annually, non-renewable.
Application Deadline: Thursday, March 2, 2023

AI Architect
AI architects are information technology professionals who design and apply processes, systems, and artificial networks that support software, data, and computer functionality for both business and personal use. An AI architect may use machine learning, natural language processing, data administration and AI integration to develop artificial networks and automated programs that businesses and consumers can use for a variety of applications. From securing government data files to developing automated software services, an AI architect is the professional who contributes to much of this work.

Education Needed
AI-driven companies expect their software architects to have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering. As a practical role, experience is as important as educational qualification. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data processes, software development, statistical analysis, etc., will place you in good stead.
