We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a series of sessions for ELL teachers at each level along with Vancouver Island Counselling Centre for Immigrants and Refugees (VICCIR) and our District Counsellors. 

First, there will be a learning component about trauma informed practices, followed by an opportunity explore how school  counsellors can help.  
Lastly, there will be time for ELL teachers to meet as a group. The sessions will take place in the afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on the following days:  
  • February 8: Elementary  
  • February 15: Elementary  
  • February 22: Middle  
  • March 1: Secondary 
Tan Huynh’s 4th session on meeting the needs of SLIFE (Students with limited or interrupted formal education) will take place on February 17 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
