This newsletter provides updates on the projects TCLIP is working on and information about upcoming events that we will be hosting. It serves as a platform to inform you about our latest developments, initiatives, and opportunities.
This month, TCLIP hosted the last Labour Market Working Group meeting for 2023-2024. The meeting involved a discussion between TCLIP members and service providers from partner organizations about the potential development of a training program aimed at enhancing the capabilities of service providers to better assist newcomers in their pursuit of employment opportunities.
Another key topic the meeting discussed was a proposal to explore the development of a video series covering crucial topics like networking, transferable skills, and the effective use of LinkedIn. The goal of the series is to offer newcomers a valuable resources as they navigate the intricacies of the labor market.
TCLIP also shared with partners some resources by Pride at Work Canada. The resources offer valuable insights on how to create more inclusive workplaces that recognize the skills of

The Tri-Cities Local Immigration Partnership is now accepting applications for Immigrant Advisory Table members for 2024-2025. If you are an immigrant or refugee who is looking to take on a meaningful volunteer role and make an impact in your community, this is the right volunteer position for you.
Join us on this year's cohort of TCLIP‘s Immigrant Advisory Table, where you will be able to use your own experiences to provide advice and develop actions to improve newcomer‘s inclusion in the Tri-Cities. All newcomers, refugees, permanent residents, international students, and naturalized Canadians who live, study, or work in the Tri-Cities are eligible to apply.

The Tri-Cities Local Immigration Partnership is hosting the Hearts Unbound: Unveiling Anti-Oppression Insights with the Warmth of Resilience forum on March 8th, 2024. Join us to celebrate two years of a transformative journey of learning, empathy and community building with the Anti-oppression Capacity Building Project. This event is also an opportunity for project participants and community members to come together and reflect on our collective achievements and future goals in integrating an anti-oppressive lens into the services we provide.
Celebrate Endings and Beginnings: Join other service providers to celebrate the conclusion of the Anti-oppression Project and look forward to the journey ahead.
Reflect on Achievements: Learn from the highlights of our research and training initiatives, acknowledging the positive impact we can make in the settlements sector.

Launched in Spring 2022, the Tri-Cities Wrap Around Model of Care for Mental Health in Immigrant Families Project aims to support immigrant families with a coordinated model of care that would enhance their mental health and wellbeing, as well as strengthen the capacity of service providers to promote mental health to immigrant families in safe, effective, and culturally appropriate ways. The two-year project is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
